How Simultaneous Chess Works
A chess tradition dating back centuries, simuls pit one strong player against many opponents at once.
The Host Sets Up
The simul host (usually the stronger player) configures the event: number of boards, time controls, and who can join.
Challengers Join
Players claim available boards. Each challenger plays Black, waiting for the host to visit their board.
Host Rotates
The host moves from board to board, making one move at each. You must respond quickly when it's your turn!
Games Conclude
Each game finishes when someone wins, draws, or resigns. Results are tracked and displayed on the simul dashboard.

How much time do I have to respond?
When the host visits your board, you typically have 30-60 seconds to make your move. Plan ahead while waiting!

Yes! Any registered user can host simuls. It's a great way to challenge yourself against multiple opponents.
What happens if I disconnect?
Your clock continues running. Reconnect quickly to continue playing. If you time out, the game is forfeit.
