Data Deletion Request

At Chess Junction, we value your privacy and give you full control over your data. According to our Privacy Policy and Google Play Store requirements, you have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Instant)

  1. Log in to your account on the Chess Junction website or mobile app.
  2. Navigate to Settings from the main menu or profile.
  3. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
  4. Click on Delete Account.
  5. Confirm your decision by typing your username.

Note: This action is irreversible. Your profile, game history, and ratings will be permanently removed.

Option 2: Email Request

If you cannot access your account, you can request manual deletion by contacting our support team:

  • Email: admin@chessjunction.com
  • Subject: Account Deletion Request
  • Body: Please include your Username and the Email Address associated with the account.

Manual requests are typically processed within 48 hours. We may ask for additional verification to prove account ownership.

Data Retention Policy

  • Deleted Data: Your profile information, clear text messages, and game history associated explicitly with your identity.
  • Retained Data: Anonymized game moves (PGN) may be retained for public chess databases, but will no longer be linked to your personal identity. Server logs may be kept for a limited time for security and auditing purposes before being automatically purged.
